Donald Trump’s nominations of black & gay Secretaries finalize the demographical diversification of his Cabinet

American President-elect Donald Trump just nominated Scott Bessent, a married Gay man, as Treasury Secretary; and NFL veteran Scott Turner, a Black, as Secretary for the Department of Housing & Urban Development, effectively dismissing the allegations of racism and sexism in his future Cabinet – which is now diversified and inclusive enough. It would be interesting if he picks a Democrat for a Cabinet-level position, however it would unlikely to happen since the pool of Republican candidates is vast enough for his selection.

Donald Trump picks a Pentagon outsider as Secretary of Defense

FLORIDA USA - American President-elect Donald Trump’s  announcement of selecting Pete Hegseth, born 1980, a host at Fox News as Secretary of Defense has stirred controversies in mass media, among politicians and military members because Pete’s highest ranking is a major and he has never been working in the Pentagon. In his statement, Trump emphasized some qualities of Pete as being “a warrior for the troops”, a combat veteran, a Harvard and Princeton graduate, and a holder of two Bronze Stars. Trump’s selection may originate in the goals of transforming the Department rather than just running it.
