Hormuz Strait: How to navigate in the unchartered waters?

The waters under the Middle East’s Hormuz Strait are something unknown and unchartered to most military parties, considering how many, when, where, what types of and by whom the marine mines may have been being set up there. Thousands of naval mines over there can be detected and neutralized, but just a single mine undetected and getting exploding could sabotage the whole campaign and its reliability.

Hormuz Strait: A test of political durability

Iran may have known so well the bipartisan political system of the USA and how that superpower system is being operated and how much pressure every incumbent Administration has to face every 2 years or 4 years, with all of its transparent “voters’ block/log and political tendency” keeping changing from time to time, from day to day. What are the possible biggest winnings and losings by Trump Administration after the temporary ceasefire with Iran?

When the 2-week ceasefire was announced, the biggest winning by Trump Administration in the abrupt military campaign against Iran may be that the USA successfully forced Iran to show its best strengths and advantages, some of that may be beyond the USA and Israel’s intelligence envisage and coverage, and help the USA identify where their allies are. Now the USA, Israel and the whole world come to know clearly what kind of substantial damages Iran could and can cause if the regime faced danger (and they know the necessity to strategically avoid or at least minimize such damages in the future). The biggest loss by the Trump Administration maybe they would have to spend lots of efforts for another internal political campaign which seems no less rigorous than the presidential trail in 2025 since the mid-term congressional elections are coming soon.

U.S. Central Command Warns Civilians to Avoid Ports Used by Iranian Forces

On March 11, US Central Command (CENTCOM) has issued a warning to civilians, including Iranians, that the Iranian regime is using civilian ports along the Strait of Hormuz to conduct military operations that threaten international shipping. It said civilian ports used for military purposes lose protected status and become legitimate military targets under international law. It’s likely that the US is preparing for extensive strikes on Iranian military presence in these areas amidst viral reports of Iran forces embedding the Strait waters with naval mines.
