The waters under the Middle East’s Hormuz Strait are something unknown and unchartered to most military parties, considering how many, when, where, what types of and by whom the marine mines may have been being set up there. Thousands of naval mines over there can be detected and neutralized, but just a single mine undetected and getting exploding could sabotage the whole campaign and its reliability.

Hormuz Strait: A test of political durability
Iran may have known so well the bipartisan political system of the USA and how that superpower system is being operated and how much pressure every incumbent Administration has to face every 2 years or 4 years, with all of its transparent “voters’ block/log and political tendency” keeping changing from time to time, from day to day. Meanwhile, some or many of Iranian political spheres have proved to be intact for decades and obviously imperceptible to Western political and military eyes over the years.

U.S. Central Command Warns Civilians to Avoid Ports Used by Iranian Forces
On March 11, US Central Command (CENTCOM) has issued a warning to civilians, including Iranians, that the Iranian regime is using civilian ports along the Strait of Hormuz to conduct military operations that threaten international shipping. It said civilian ports used for military purposes lose protected status and become legitimate military targets under international law. It’s likely that the US is preparing for extensive strikes on Iranian military presence in these areas amidst viral reports of Iran forces embedding the Strait waters with naval mines.

Border concentration camps may rise to prevent an American constitutional crisis
The Trump Administration’s efforts to implement mass deportation of illegal immigrants have being facing tremendous and persistent blocks by the judicial personnel and Democrat congressmen, as an unavoidable challenge despite the current Republican dominance in both the executive and law-making branches. It’s envisaged that mass concentration camps shall be soon set up along the American border to contain illegal immigrants, effectively depriving them of any illegitimate rights they are enjoying, while preventing a fatal clash between the federal government and the federal courts. It’s still unclear whether the federal budget, in worsening deficits, could afford all the costs to maintain such concentration camps for a long time. The costs to maintain such camps may be eventually charged back to the tax-funded expenditures for the judicial system operations, on a reciprocal basis.

According to AI Gok, for 2023, the most recent year with comprehensive data, Eurostat reports the following government deficit-to-GDP ratios:
- Germany: Recorded a deficit of -2.6% of GDP. As the EU’s largest economy, with a GDP of approximately €4.5 trillion, this translates to a deficit of about €117 billion. Germany’s fiscal discipline is notable, though it still exceeds the EU Stability and Growth Pact’s 3% threshold slightly.
- France: Had a deficit of -5.5% of GDP. With a GDP of around €2.8 trillion, this equates to roughly €154 billion. France consistently runs higher deficits, reflecting its significant public spending.
- Italy: Posted a deficit of -7.2% of GDP, the highest among these countries. With a GDP of about €2.1 trillion, this amounts to approximately €151 billion. Italy’s large deficit is tied to its substantial debt burden and economic challenges.
- Spain: Recorded a deficit of -3.6% of GDP. With a GDP of around €1.5 trillion, this is about €54 billion. Spain has reduced its deficit since the post-pandemic peak but remains above the EU’s 3% limit.
- Poland: Had a deficit of -5.1% of GDP. With a GDP of roughly €0.8 trillion, this translates to about €41 billion. Poland’s deficit reflects increased spending, partly due to regional security concerns.
Across the EU as a whole, the average government deficit was -3.5% of GDP in 2023, up from -3.2% in 2022, amounting to approximately €600 billion against a total EU GDP of €17.2 trillion. Among the biggest economies, Italy and France stand out with deficits well above the EU average and the 3% threshold set by the Stability and Growth Pact, while Germany and Spain are closer to or just over that limit. Poland sits in the middle of this group. These numbers are based on Eurostat’s October 2024 release, reflecting data reported by EU member states.
