Donald Trump nominates another for Attorney General after the first’s withdrawal

Under the pressures from the American Senators, Trump’s first nominee for Attorney General (AG) position Matt Gaetz decided to withdraw from the nomination on the reason that the “confirmation was unfairly becoming a distraction to the critical work of the Trump/Vance Transition”.  A few hours later, Donald Trump announced Pam Bondi, born 1965, a lawyer/prosecutor who has experience of being AG of Florida for 8 years, to be the new name in his AG nomination.

Donald Trump’s Attorney General nomination may face significant obstructions

American President-elect Donald Trump’s announcement of appointing Representative Matt Gaetz as Attorney General – who would lead the Department of Justice (DoJ) – has received skepticism among Senators, even some Republican ones. Some anonymously told Fox News that they would not vote to confirm Trump’s AG nomination at the Senate.

The US DoJ Sues Alabama for Purging Non-Citizens from Voters List

POLIBIZ - Biden-Harris’ Administration’s Justice Department (DoJ) announced on 27th Sept  that it has filed a lawsuit against the State of Alabama and the Alabama Secretary of State to challenge a systematic State program aimed at removing voters from its election rolls too close to the Nov. 5 general election, in violation of the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA).
