Kamala Harris’ Irresolute Perspectives and Actions on Border and Immigration over the Years

POLIBIZ - In 2019, Kamala Harris criticized Donald J Trump for “playing politics in building a wasteful border wall” and for “creating a fiction about a crisis at the border”. In Sept 2024, after nearly 4 years in power and in charge of border, the situation has been so serious that she now realizes it’s time to protect the nation’s sovereignty, secure the  border, and work to fix the broken system of immigration.

Born in a middle-class family, Vice President Kamala Harris in high-fashion on 27th Sept toured the US-Mexico border for the first time after nearly 4 years in power as Border Czar.

2018

Kamala Harris joined a group of protestors on the street and shouted out loud  “Down down with deportation”.

2019

Kamala tweeted “We should do something about the emergencies that plague our country ... – not playing politics in building a wasteful border wall”.

Also in 2019, Kamala in a speech to voters criticized Trump on border issue: “He created a fiction about a crisis at the border”.

2021-August 2024

After Biden/Harris defeating Trump in the presidential election, they took over the White House and carried out a series of “actions that have undermined the border security and encouraged the immigration”, according to a report by House Speaker Mike Johnson.

Among the 64 action listed in the report, Biden/Harris notably terminated the National Emergency at the Southwest border (Proclamation 9844) issued under Trump Administration, thereby halting emergency construction of a border wall initiated by Trump. The wall contractors were required to stop construction immediately and the remaining materials at site were sold for scrap.

Biden/Harris also revoked several Trump-era executive orders on immigration law enforcement; meanwhile they introduced favorable policies to encourage illegal immigrations such as lowering applicable restrictions and limitations, expanding opportunities for amnesty, lessening criteria to citizenship...

Despite being the Border Czar, Kamala never paid a visit to the border and, according to Raul Ortiz - Border Patrol Chief from 2021 to 2023, never had a conversation with border patrol.

2022

In an interview with Meet the Press, when asked “The U.S. will have 2 million people cross its border for the first time”, Harris replied in confidence “We have a secure border in that that is a priority …”.

Sept 2024

Kamala is now in the race with former President Donald Trump for the presidency, and the border & immigration issue becomes a hot topic for debate and for winning votes.

In an interview on MSNBC on 25th Sept, Kamala admitted that the US has “a broken immigration system” that needed to be fixed.

When the data of 425,431 convicted criminals  being among non-detained illegal immigrants are publicized mostly in social media (not in mainstream media), Kamala made a short tour of the border wall built under Trump era for roughly 20 minutes, mostly for an photo op.

Instead of applauding Kamala’s tour, the Border Patrol Union - NBPC who endorsed Trump, wrote: “ Vice president Harris has ignored the border problem she created for over three years. She goes down there for 20 minutes for a photo op and decides to repeat some of the things the NPBC has said before. But again, where has she been the last 3 1/2 years?

After photo shooting at the US-Mexico border, Kamala appeared at her rally in Arizona where she blamed that Trump did nothing on the border during his term, and called for pathways to citizenship to million illegal immigrants.

When all illegal immigrants become American citizens, then the US no longer has illegal immigrants at all. Problem solved! It’s easy, right?.

With a half million criminals roaming freely among the communities now, the US seems to be facing two immigration crises  at the same time: one at the border, one on the fabric of its society. But there’s one good thing about this: “more immigrants, more voters!!!”.
