After a counterproductive real-time fact-check on JD Vance, CBS loads tons of fact-checks on social media

POLIBIZ  - During the vice presidential debate between Republican JD Vance and Democrat Tim Waltz, despite the agreed “no fact-check” rule, CBS Moderator  Margaret Brennan still checked against Vance on immigration topic.

CBS Moderators fact-checked Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance despite the "no fact-check rule"

Notably, Margaret factchecked Vance right after Tim’s feedback to Vance, so the whole situation looked like she was joining Tim to defeat Vance.

Margaret’s fact-check was something like “Springfield Ohio does have a large number of Haitian migrants who have legal status temporary protected”.

Vance – a senator from Ohio – immediately corrected and backfired her “The rules were that you guys weren't going to fact check and since you're factchecking me, I think it's important to say what's actually going on. So there's an application called the  "CBP One” app where you can go on as an illegal migrant apply for asylum or apply for parole and be granted legal status at the wave of a Kamala Harris’ open border. That is not a person coming in applying for a green card and waiting for 10 years, that is the facilitation of illegal immigration”.

Then Vance tried to go on with his saying but his micro was muted by the moderators.

A few hours later, CBS News post a series of fact-check sheets for the claims made by both Vance and Tim during the debate, maybe in an rescue effort for the mistake made by Margaret. CBS seems to try to prove that they are unbiased, and did not intend to favor either speaker during the debate.

However, the pro-Democratic bias of CBS in particular and the mainstream media in general is not unfamiliar to the American public.
