As the reigning British monarch, King Charles III, being the Supreme Governor of the Church of England, organized on 12th March a Ramadan event at Windsor Castle attended by 400 Muslim guests. Crowds of British Christian conservatives gathered outside the castle with banners read “Not My King”, “Down with the Crown” and “Dutch the Dutchies”. Protests against the Crown was something rarely happened during the reign of Queen Elizabeth who passed away in Sept 2022.

With the raising globalism and multiculturalism in the UK as well as many European countries, Muslims and Islam are playing an increasing role in the daily life and civilization of Western countries, sometimes the old and traditional cultures of the localities are said by many conservatives to be depressed.
This year, many Muslims having been calling for banning bacon (pork including bacon is considered haram in Islam) throughout the country; some restaurants of non-Islamic people in the Muslim-crowded areas were sabotaged for their still opening during Ramadan month.
