Donald Trump to impose 25% tariffs on Mexico and Canada to pressure their tightening the control of out-migration to the US

American President-elect Donald Trump announced to sign Executive Orders on his first day at office 20th Jan 2025 to "charge Mexico and Canada a 25% tariff on all products coming to the US", which will remain effective until drug and illegal aliens from these two countries stop flooding into the US. There are reports of a caravan of thousands Mexican immigrants heading to the Mexico-US border to enter the US before Trump taking office. The big influx of illegal immigrants to the US has been facilitated partly by the open-border policy of the Biden-Harris Administration and partly by the home-country governments’ lack of measures to discourage their out-migrants.

Donald Trump’s nominations of black & gay Secretaries finalize the demographical diversification of his Cabinet

American President-elect Donald Trump just nominated Scott Bessent, a married Gay man, as Treasury Secretary; and NFL veteran Scott Turner, a Black, as Secretary for the Department of Housing & Urban Development, effectively dismissing the allegations of racism and sexism in his future Cabinet – which is now diversified and inclusive enough. It would be interesting if he picks a Democrat for a Cabinet-level position, however it would unlikely to happen since the pool of Republican candidates is vast enough for his selection.

American Congresswoman "fights" Congress-transwoman over the exclusive use of restrooms in Capitol Hill

Washington DC – Congresswoman Nancy Mace aggressively pursues a regulation proposal that bans transgender women from accessing restrooms, lockers, changing rooms dedicated for women.  “We don’t care if you are trans, if you have balls, we don’t want you in the women’s bathroom”, she said. House Speaker Mike Johnson agreed to her proposal, declaring “All single-sex facilities in the Capitol and House Office Buildings – such as restrooms, changing rooms and locker rooms  - are reserved for individuals of that biological sex.” Observers now focus their attentions on the reactions of the US’s first transgender Representative Sarah McBride.
