Vietnam donates half a million medical masks to France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Britain

HANOI - Vietnam donated 550,000 face masks to five European countries heavily hit by the coronavirus epidemic to support their fight against virus. The masks, made of antimicrobial fabric and being droplets-proof, were handed to the ambassadors of France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Britain at an event in Hanoi 7th April.

The conflicting recommendations about wearing masks against coronavirus

WHO and many countries badly hit by coronavirus are still researching and debating whether wearing masks is an effective measure against the spreading of the virus. The frequently-heard recommendation is that you don’t need to wear masks if you are not a medical worker.

The costs behind UK's said herd immunity plan against coronavirus

Facing the coronavirus pandemic, the approach of governments  around the world are not similar, and in some cases totally different from each other. The weirdest and wildest one may come from the UK when its government's chief scientific adviser Sir Patrick Vallance has declared something like “Around 60% of the UK population will need to become infected with coronavirus in order for society to have herd immunity from future outbreaks”.



It sounds perfectly strategic, right? But let’s a have look at the unavoidable costs of such a strategy.
